Give your Brand the Gift of Sales – Marketing Tips for the Holidays

It’s easy to get lost in the bustle of a busy holiday season. Here are five things you can do to make sure customers are thinking of your brand for their shopping needs:

1- Offer gift cards: Gift Cards are an excellent way to spread your brand, and a quick purchasing option for last minute shoppers. A recent Mass Mutual survey found that 61% of Americans plan to gift cash or a gift card this holiday season (Mass Mutual, Nov 2022). Make sure your winery is part of the mix by offering this option to your customers. This also ensures the gift recipients will return to your Winery and will most likely spend more than the original gift card amount.

3- Host a gift giveaway: Engage with your social media followers by hosting a giveaway. Not only will you be partaking in the holiday spirit of giving, but you’ll also be spreading brand awareness. When customers are asked to tag a friend as a way of entry, your current customers will assist with sharing your brand. 

5- Showcase your products in a new light: Most people know wineries sell wine – let them know it’s more than that with a guide to gifting your products. Who would love the different variations of your wine club subscriptions. Which of your wines is perfect for a romantic dinner for two, versus the ideal bottle of bubbly to ring in the new year. Allow customers to see exactly where each of your products fit in to their holiday plans. 

2- Create a Holiday Collection: Everyone loves an exclusive gift find. Bundle your favorite wines or merchandise for the holidays and offer a limited time holiday deal on the collection. Not only are people looking for limited time products, but with increasing prices, shoppers this year are also looking for the best deals.

4- Reward purchasers who share your brand: Create a holiday hashtag customers can add to their photos. Ask customers to share pictures enjoying your product with friends and family over the holidays. Every so often select one of the hashtag users to win a prize or discount. Select one big winner or provide small prizes to multiple winners. This specifically requires minimal work on your end and is easy and quick to implement during a busy holiday season.
