For our third installment we head south and visit some wineries in Downtown, West Valley, and Hollywood.

Downtown Woodinville is constantly evolving – you will find more than just wineries here. Shop, dine, and sip your way through town.

West Valley lies along the Samammish River. There are fewer wineries here than in the other districts but that doesn’t mean you should count them out. A great place to unwind

Hollywood is a great place to come if you have a handful of wineries on your list to visit. Hop door to door and experience the best of what Washington wine has to offer.

Owner and winemaker Kit Singh started Lauren Ashton Cellars after exploring Europe’s most known wine regions in France as well as spending time in Napa and Sonoma where he truly discovered the enjoyment of wine. Inspired by Kit’s two children, Ashley Lauren and Ashton Troy, Lauren Ashton Cellars adopts many of the rich winemaking traditions of the Old World, endless dedication to winemaking, all the while honoring a familiar Washington style, with a twist.

A family-owned winery based in the gorgeous Columbia River Gorge, Cascade Cliffs Vineyard and Winery is proud to be a pioneer of Piedmont varietal wines and one of the only wineries in the US that centers its production around Barbera.

Washington wine visionary, Allen Shoup, asked a simple question: what happens when you give the world’s top winemakers access to Washington’s best fruit? Long Shadows found the answer.

In tribute to four generations of Otis Keynons, each with strong ties to the Walla Walla Valley, owner Stephen Otis Kenyon has returned to the area to make wine. Guided by an unyielding commitment to excellence, and dedicated to sustainable and bio-diverse viticultural practices, he is a passionate grower and producer of elegantly structured and affordable Bordeaux and Rhone varietal wines.

Sparkman Cellars is a family-owned and operated winery committed to making wines that are considered amongst the finest in the world. Castillo de Feliciana, founded by the Castillo family, offers you Spanish-style wine from the Walla Walla wine region. It is their hope to provide you with outstanding wine and a memorable experience for you, your family and friends. In addition to Spanish wine, you’ll find the winery itself is a tribute to Spanish style, inspired by the Southern region of Spain. Andalucia, where the majestic blue waters of the Atlantic meet up with the stark white buildings and Terra Cotta tile roofs of Los Pueblos Blancos.

Tsillan Cellars Winery was established in 2000 and opened it’s doors on May 1, 2004 with the introduction of world-class wines to the Chelan Valley region. Producing an average of 6,500-7,000 cases of wine each year, each grape block is continuously evaluated for best compatibility with the land and climate so only the finest grapes make it to bottling. Born and raised in Washington State, the Otis family rescued Matthews Winery in 2008 and since then has worked alongside remarkable winemakers to empower them in the mission to produce the purest expressions of Washington wines. Matthews grapes are sustainably grown and hand-harvested in Washington producing complex yet vibrant wines with world-class varietals ranging from Cabernet Sauvignon to Sauvignon Blanc.

Guardian Cellars is all about making amazing wine from Washington’s best vineyards, but there’s more to the story. A cop fell for a reporter, they started a winery, had some kids, and they’re still having fun making delicious wine. Guardian wines are about family, friendship, laughter and fun.

JM Cellars is a family owned winery that values community and strives to make wine that honors the land.  Their tasting room, referred to as the Bramble Bump, is the perfect northwest backdrop for your wine tasting experience. They offer wine tasting, wines by the glass, bottles and select Hops & Seed beers on tap.

They also host events, so keep them in mind for any upcoming celebrations.
